Witnesses were W Furst and J L Hamilton-Hill. The marriage certificate states that Diana's father was Michele Mercurio Unternahrer. Presumably Diana "added" the Unternahrer name to her father's name in order to disguise the fact that her father was not married to her mother.

        -- MERGED NOTE ------------

Diana was the author's mother. In addition to the author's personal knowledge, her identity as the Diana Monica Maria Unternahrer in the French birth certificate and the Diana Monica Maria who married James Derrick is confirmed by the combination of the:
        (i) certificate of her first marriage to William Ernest Tym in 1938, in which the same birth names are stated and her age is given as 22 (although there is no information as to her father);and
(ii) certificate of her second marriage to James Derrick in 1950 in which her name is stated as Diana Monica Maria Tym, her age is 34 and her father is stated to be Michele Mercurio Unternahrer (sic). Her father's true name was Michelangelo Mercurio; Unternahrer was her mother's surname. Her mother was not married and Diana presumably wished to conceal this fact.
